GILSENAN, Matthew (Fortfield Avenue, Terenure) July 20, 2020 Peacefully, in the loving care of the wonderful staff of Orwell Nursing Home; beloved husband of the late Breda and loving father of Laura, Jean, John and Brian. Deeply regretted by all who knew him, especially his sons-in-law and daughters-in-law Johnny, Declan, Micheline and Hilary, adoring and adored grandchildren Rachel, David and Hannah, Katherine, Rory, Louise and Ciara, Conor, Jane, Matthew, Mark and Robert, AnnaMay, Tim and John and David's wife Jill, also all his cousins and Gilsenan and Shaw nieces and nephews. He will also be greatly missed by all his friends in St Mary's College RFC where he was Honorary Life Member and served with distinction at all levels in the Club over 70 years, including as Captain, President and Trustee; also in Grange Golf Club and in Tara Cove, Co. Wexford. We cannot sufficiently express our appreciation to all at Orwell Nursing Home for the extraordinary care and attention they have shown to Matt particularly in these challenging times and previously shown to our mother Breda. You will be forever in our thoughts and prayers. Funeral Mass will take place tomorrow (Thursday) in the Church of the Three Patrons, Rathgar and afterwards to Mount Jerome Crematorium. For those who would have liked to attend but are unable to do so due to current restrictions and would like to follow the mass on webcam, please click on https://mcnmedia.tv/camera/the-church-of-the-3-patrons at 11.00 am tomorrow (Thursday).
