AUSTIN, Ivan (Monkstown, Co Dublin) - March 14, 2014, (peacefully), surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of Ferndene Nursing Home. Dearly beloved husband and soulmate of Ann for over 50 years. Cherished dad to Nicola and Gavin and adored granddad to Ben, Conor, Emma and Tom; very sadly missed by his son-in-law Derek, daughter-in-law Julie, his sister Mary, brothers Raymond and Nial, extended family, relatives and a wide circle of friends. May he rest in peace. Removal on Tuesday morning next (March 18) from Carnegie's Funeral Home, The Crescent, Monkstown to St Patrick's Church, Monkstown arriving at 11.20 o'clock for 11.30 o'clock Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in Shanganagh Cemetery. Donations if desired in lieu of flowers to The Red Door School for Autism in Monkstown.Gone but will never be forgotten.

AUSTIN Ivan (Monkstown), Died March 14, 2014. Ivan's wife Ann, his children Nicola and Gavin and the extended Austin family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all who sympathised with us after the sad loss of our beloved Ivan-husband, father, grandfather ,brother and friend to so many. Our thanks to the staff of Ferndene Nursing Home who looked after Ivan with such care and kindness during his illness and also to Dr. Karl Kavanagh and all the team in Monkstown Medical Centre for their care and support shown to Ivan over the years. A special word of thanks also to Fr. Brendan Hally, Fr. Malachy Kilbride, the community of Blackrock College and Fr. Louis Hughes for the beautiful and dignified funeral service that we all believed truly captured the essence of our beloved Ivan. We thank our friends, neighbours and work colleagues who attended the funeral mass and those who travelled long distances to be with us. We are very grateful to those from near and far who sent Mass cards, sympathy letters and messages of condolence. We are also very grateful to all those people who generously donated to The Red Door School for Autism in Monkstown. Your kindness, love and support has been a great source of comfort to all of us. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions today when Ivan's First Anniversary Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick's Church in Monkstown. Ivan is greatly missed and will be forever in our thoughts and hearts.Ar dheis De go raibh a anam dilis.
