SHOULDICE, Christopher (Chris) Burnell, (Knocklyon and formerly Fairview), May 8, 2023. (peacefully, aged 92). Beloved husband of Ann (née O’Clery) and loving father to son Redmond and his wife Elaine, to daughter Ciara and her partner Rian, and cherished grandfather of Audrey and John Christopher. Predeceased by his siblings Maura, Fr. Sean, Betty, Jim, Anna, Ena and Brennie; he will be sadly missed by his wife, children, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, brothers-in-law Henry, Peter and Edward, sister-in-law Eliza, his niece Ailish, nephews John, Andy and Gavin, and all extended family, neighbours and many friends. Reposing in the Larry Massey Funeral Home, Eden Centre, Grange Road, Rathfarnham, tomorrow (Saturday) from 3.00pm to 5.00pm. Removal on Monday morning, May 15, to St. Colmcilles Church, Knocklyon, arriving for 11.30am Mass, followed by a cremation service in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross, at 1.45pm. Dearest Ciara, Ann, Redmond and family. Sincerest condolences on the passing of Chris. What a beautiful kind and effervescent gentleman. I loved our chats in the garden at home but wish I had known him better! Mum was so fond of him also. I hope you can find comfort amongst family during this time and may Chris rest in peace. xxx
