SCANLAN, John (Séan) O., May 2, 2017. Séan's sister Sheila, his brother-in-law John and his cousins, wish to thank all those who sympathised with us in our recent sad bereavement, those who sent mass cards, attended his repose and funeral Mass. We are grateful to Fr. Ben Moran O.P., P.P. St. Aengus, Fr. Billy Farrell, P.P. Glasthule and to the parish team, Simon Morgan and Ronan Murray for their uplifting music and to Professor Orla Feely for her generous eulogy. Our thanks especially to all the staff at Quinn's Funeral Home, Glasthule for their great help and unfailing courtesy. We also want to thank all who looked after Séan during his long illness, his carers, the staff at St. Vincent's University Hospital, St. Michael's Hospital and the Royal Hospital, Donnybrook. No words can express our appreciation of Betty Cawley, for her loyal service for over 25 years. We know Séan will be missed by his colleagues at UCD, Royal Irish Academy, Telecom Eireann and IE Domain Registry and Woodbrook Golf Club (plummers). We thank them for their support. The Holy Mass will be offered for your intentions.May Séan Rest in Peace.
