Dear Howard, I discover this notice unbelievably so many years later, never having connected again with you and Hilary after such a memorable meeting in Mexico City when you conducted the Philharmonic. My sincerest condolences for her passing, I remember you both from the great joy, honour and privilege of having worked and spent some personal time together!

Living at a great distance for many years now, I’ve only just learned of Hilary’s passing. She was a lovely, vibrant lady. My deepest condolences to Howard and his children and grandchildren.

I’m so very sorry to hear about the passing of Hilary. She was my piano tutor at Colchester and I am so grateful for everything that she taught me. I have been a music teacher for 40 years. Sincere condolences to you all.
