Paul Kavanagh - Always in our hearts

Ashley, Kelsey and I send our sincere condolences to the entire Kavanagh family. It was a very sad day to learn of his passing and we hope our prayers from across the pond wilol bring confort to you all. Paul was an amazing man, thoughtful, sincere and a truly gifted man. Although it has been many uears since Paul and Maura visited the Brennan-Delaney clan in the States, it was a memorable time I will cherish. Paul has been in my thoughts many times over the years and appreciated for the kindess showed to the care of my daughters, during a bit of a turbulent visit to the Emerald Isle and the compassion he showed for me, many miles away. I will never forget his trip to the baseball game and his wonder as to "what could take so long to get the game to completion?". He was witty and had the sparkle in his eyes whenever he smiled. May god comfort you and keep you in his arms and know we are many in thoughts and prayers for all of you, from afar.

Our love,

The Delaney Girls

Uncle Paul

Dear Aunty Maura and cousins, we are so sad to hear of Uncle Paul passing away. I have very fond memories of him, having a giggle because he was always teasing someone. I clearly remember him taking a photo of me as I stretched down to get a ball under a hedge at Aunty Bernadettes wedding. I was so annoyed with him and he got such a kick out of it. I will always remember him dressed in beautiful bright colours, he wore them well. We will miss him terribly and our deepest sympathies to you all during this very painful time. Aveen, Mario, Matias and Emma.

Thank you Uncle Paul
I will always cherish my memories of you. The very first from when I was about 3 or 4 years old and left in your care for a day. I escaped and hid in long grass down the road - I can still hear your booming voice calling my name, and once found there was no anger only understanding. To some of the latest memories, seeing you beating off your ailments with humour and determination, and being amongst your many fans (you had fans rather than just friends) at your 80th birthday in Blackrock. Hanging proudly in our lounge (and will be a permanent feature) your picture of the 'elephants in Earl st.' See it every day and think of you. Rest in peace.
