Thoughts settle.
Everything seems possible.''
O'REILLY - Emily, (First Anniversary, December 3). The family of Emily O’Reilly, on her First Anniversary, December 3, sincerely thank our close friends, families and all who sympathised with us on our sad loss. We were overwhelmed by all the outpouring of condolences and support we received particularly from Emily’s wonderful friends who remain in touch. We thank the medical teams in London and Dublin. Dr Mickey Koh and his team in St George’s and Dr Catherine Flynn and her team in St. James’s. Her brother Hugo made two stem cell donations. Thanks also to Fr Phil Gaffney for a beautiful ceremony, to the readers and Susan Connolly who read a beautiful poem. Musicians Michael and Breifne Holohan and Trudy Maguire who performed the music Emily loved. Also grateful thanks to the Drogheda Male Voice choir. We thank the large attendance outside the church and at the Cemetery and the undertakers Townleys who guided all our decisions. Music was a big part of Emily’s life, from her studies, her social life, to her final year in Covent Garden. Claire Lynch and Niamh Cannon organised #emilyswickedwalk on her birthday last April. Walks were done throughout the world. Proceeds went to The Aplastic Anaemia Trust and Anthony Nolan. Emily was very much a Family person and a great communicator. We miss her so much. Her gentle, kind, funny nature touched us all. Her illness weakened her body but strengthened her spirit at an incredible rate. None of us really realised “For whether we last the night or no/I’m sure is always touch-and-go”. We now realise we were lucky to have her home, which was her wish – and the last month was the happiest of the last year. We love you Emily. Rest in Peace. Please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation. Our Family are supporting the charity Bone Marrow for Leukaemia Trust in Emily’s memory. Donations are more than welcome via https//www.gofundme.com/f/bme2yt-emilys-wicked-walk or via www.bonemarrowtrust.ie.

The lord is waiting to take your hand
Shout hallelujah, come on get happy
We’re going to the promised land”
