COEN - (née Matthews) Dairin. Rockfield House, Gort, Co. Galway and Lahinch, Co. Clare. Unexpectedly but peacefully on May 6, 2025.
Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Rynal.
Dearly loved mother of Peter, Suzie, Richard, Jennifer, Sheena and Bernard. Deeply missed by her son-in-law Lorcan, daughters-in-law Karen and Deirdre, Suzie's partner Denis and treasured eight grandchildren.
Fondly remembered by her brother Thomas, sisters-in-law Jane, Rita and Judith, brother-in-law David, nieces, nephews, relatives, the extended Coen and Matthews families, great neighbours and many friends in Gort, Lahinch and Galway.
Reposing in Seomra Ciuin within Gort Town Hall, Church St. Gort (H91EOC8) on tomorrow evening (Sunday), May 18 from 5pm with removal at 6.30pm to St. Colman's Church Gort. Requiem Mass Monday May 19 at 11am. Burial afterwards in Kilmacduagh Cemetery. Family flowers only please. House private.
The family deeply appreciates your kindness and support at this time. A special word of thanks to all who helped in anyway in getting Dairin back home. Finally much gratitude to our kind neighbours and friends for all they have done for us over these difficult days.

COEN - Dairin (Gort, Co. Galway), who died May 6, 2025. The family of the late Dairin Coen wish to express their heartfelt gratitude to all our relatives, friends and neighbours who showed us such kindness during that difficult time. A special word of thanks to all who helped in any way in getting Dairin back home, especially Sean Mullins and Shane Counihan at Mullins Brothers Funeral Directors, Gort. Our deep appreciation also goes to the volunteer team at Seomra Ciúin and to the musicians who added so much to the funeral Mass. A sincere thank you to Gort Bridge Club, Kinvara Bridge Club, Gort Golf Club and Lahinch Golf Club for the Guard of Honour. To all who sent Mass cards, offered condolences, or travelled to be with us, your kindness brought great comfort.
Dairin's First Anniversary Mass
will be celebrated on Sunday, May 3
at 12pm in St Colman's Church, Gort.
