CARAVOUSANOS-CAREY, Lorraine (née Day) 26th February 2025. Peacefully, in the wonderful care of St John’s Nursing Home, Merrion Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin. Lorraine, 89 years, beloved wife and adored soulmate of Tom Carey. A truly special and loving couple for over 45 years. Sadly missed by her loving daughter Claire, son Tony and predeceased by her daughter Loretta. Treasured grandmother of Gavin (his wife Deirdre), Suzanne (her husband Neal), Katie, Eoin, Keith, Hannah and Ria, mother-in-law of Stephen Murphy, Dermot Moran and Ola Caravousanos, cherished great-grandmother of Darragh, Ailbhe, Sadie and Margot. Lorraine will be missed by a wide circle of family and friends in Dublin, Cork and the USA. A wonderful life filled with lasting memories, remember the beautiful Lorraine with a smile. Lorraine will be reposing today (Monday 3rd March) at Carnegies Funeral Home, Monkstown, Dublin (A94 XK28) from 2pm to 4pm. Funeral Mass tomorrow (Tuesday 4th March) at 10am in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Merrion Road (D04 NX33) followed thereafter by cremation committal prayers at Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross (D6W HY98).
