I was so sorry to hear of Marie's passing. I have fond memories of her fun character when I was an undergraduate at the University of Bath.

Influences and Role Model

As we all are shadowed by her passing, I was fortunate to have met Marie many years ago when starting out my scientific career.

I had moved to NYC and became involved in the Myelin club, after which I met Marie. She provided me an opportunity to teach, and meet other young scientists.

You knew that aside from being astoundingly smart, and witty, she had a good heart. The world, and the science world will be a lesser place without her.
