McKIERNAN Hugh Finbar B.A., Galway/Ennis/Moycullen. March 12, 2017. Much loved younger son of Hugh C. McKiernan B.E., and Virginia (O'Connell), and brother of Michael and Tara. Passed away peacefully in the outstanding care of doctors, nurses and all staff and volunteers at Galway Hospice Foundation, Renmore, Galway. He is survived by his wife Niamh, and their children Fionnghuala, Peter and James, and Hugh's older children Aoife and Oisín. Sadly missed by his parents, brother and sister, his brother-in-law Jonathan O'Connor, sister-in-law Carolyn McKiernan, his nieces and nephews Hannah, Zachary and Lydia O'Connor, Conor and Máirtín McKiernan, his aunts, uncles, and cousins in Ireland and overseas, his devoted friends in Ennis and Galway who supported him in his long struggle with cancer. Reposing at Aiséirí, Church Road, Moycullen, Co Galway tomorrow (Wednesday) evening from 5.00pm. Removal at 7.00pm to The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Moycullen. Mass to celebrate his life on Thursday (March 16) at 12.00 noon, followed by private cremation. No flowers please. Donations, if desired to Galway Hospice Foundation. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
