<p>SANTORO-BRIENZA HRHA, Prof. Liberato (Monkstown, Co. Dublin) November 4, 2017 (unexpectedly but peacefully) in the exceptional care of the staff of the ICU, St. Vincent’s University Hospital. Beloved husband of Ann and loving father of Louisa and Peppe. Sadly missed by his family, his granddaughters Ella and Rosa, brothers Rafaele and Augusto, sisters Ettorina, Sara and Adriana, daughter-in-law Gina and by Ann’s daughter and son Louise and Patrick, his extended family and friends. Rest in Peace. A Funeral Service will take place today (Thursday) at 2.00 pm in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Cemetery, Harold’s Cross, followed by cremation. Family flowers only please.</p>

<p>Sad news</p> <p>I had the privilege and pleasure of taking Prof Santoro-Brienza'a course on aesthetics in UCD in the early 90s. He was entertaining, informative and wore his learning lightly. He was also the most affable and genial of tutors, a kindly gentle figure. A sad loss. RIP</p>
