SWEENEY - Franz, (Proinsias Mac Suibhne) (Foxrock, Dublin 18 and formerly Currane, Achill) (January 5, 2020). As we remember Franz on this, his First Anniversary, Noreen, Cianán, Antoinette, Richelle and Sláine, sons-in-law and much loved grandchildren would like to acknowledge with sincere gratitude and appreciation all the love, kindness and comfort offered by our families, friends, colleagues and neighbours. We were truly overwhelmed with how generous people were with their time, travelling long distances to be with us, visiting our home, attending the removal and funeral. We greatly appreciate all the Mass cards and beautiful messages of condolences and we would like to acknowledge all the many callers to Franz’s family home in Currane. Sincere thanks to Susan of Massey Bros. Funeral Directors and her team for their kindness and professionalism. We would especially like to thank all his carers who were so attentive and kind to him and thanks to Dr. Brian Kilbride for his wonderful care and The Blackrock Hospice who were so supportive in his final days. Thank you to Fr. Kieran Dunne for celebrating Franz’s funeral mass, to Goretti Newell, Eoin Hynes and Hollypark G.N.S. for their beautiful music. Franz was deeply loved, is missed greatly and will always be remembered. The Holy Sacrifice of the mass will be offered for your intentions.

Suaimhneas Síoraí.

SWEENEY - Franz (Second Anniversary) - Much loved and sadly missed today and everyday by your loving family.

I did not know of his death until just now. I was a follow student at SJC. He was a most civilised and intelligent lad then. The last time I saw him was on a train from Dublin a few years later. He was a good guy, and I am sure much missed
