PRENDERGAST, Peter (Pete) Churchtown, Dublin, formerly of Clontarf and The High School, Dublin. On the 13th May 2025, peacefully, in the exceptional care of the Coronary Care Unit in St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin. Much loved husband of Trish and devoted father of Conor, Joe and Orla. He will be immeasurably missed by his loving wife, children, brother Canice, sisters Terry and Kathy, extended family, neighbours and many, many friends. A gathering of Pete’s family and friends will take place at Fanagans Funeral Home, Dundrum on Monday afternoon from 3pm to 5pm. Removal on Tuesday morning to the Church of the Good Shepherd, Churchtown arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by Cremation Service at Mount Jerome Victorian Chapel at 12.15pm. The Prendergast family appreciate your kindness and thoughtfulness at this time. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers and in memory of Pete may be made to the Irish Heart Foundation. House private, by request. Pete will forever be remembered with love. May he rest in peace.

As we approach the first anniversary of our dear Petes death, Trish, Conor, Joe and Orla, with Terry, Kathy and Canice wish to thank most sincerely everyone who supported them during the past year. We are deeply grateful to those who sent cards, letters, mass bouquets, messages of condolence on RIP.ie, flowers and food. Thank you to everyone who attended Petes repose and funeral Mass, to Fr Niall Coughlan and the funeral team who oversaw Petes funeral Mass so thoughtfully and to Brenda and Michelle whose singing made his funeral Mass so special. A special thank you to the staff of the CCU St Vincents University Hospital for their dedicated care and kindness to Pete. His was no ordinary life; his was a life well lived; Pete was greatly loved and he is missed every single day.
