GIBNEY, Eugene

GIBNEY - Eugene (Gene) (Rathgar, Dublin) January 2nd, 2026, peacefully at home, after a long and courageous battle, surrounded by his loving family. Loving husband of Anne, devoted Dad of Taunya (Grogan), Eugene, Ronan and Simon, affectionate granddad of Matthew, Josh, Jake, Chloe, Ben, Kasia, Harry, Jack, River, Sienna, Luca-Gene and Beauden. Predeceased by his son-in-law John. Sadly missed by his family, daughters-in-law Sinéad, Ciara and Shannon, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. May his gentle soul rest in peace. Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Willbrook Road, Rathfarnham on Tuesday evening (January 6th) from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Wednesday morning (January 7th) to Church of the Three Patrons, Rathgar arriving for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by cremation at the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harold's Cross.
