PRENDIVILLE - Kathleen (Kay), (née Leahy, Sunhill, Killorglin, Co Kerry).

At this time, as we, her family, mark the first anniversary (April 6, 2020) of Kathleen’s death, we remember her with great love; we mourn her absence in our lives but we also recall and celebrate the full life she led, almost to the very end. Because of Covid-19, we missed out on the opportunity to share our memories with the many people who admired, loved and respected her for the many roles she had played throughout her long life. In particular, we are saddened that a year on, we are still unable to meet with the extended members of our family and to remember her together.

From our hearts, we thank all of you who wrote, telephoned, texted or emailed with condolences and offering consolation in our loss. We also remember with deep gratitude the show of solidarity from neighbours and friends on her final journey. We are thankful too to all those who showed her sensitivity and kindness in her last, difficult months.

In marking Kathleen’s anniversary, we also remember with love Donal, her husband who died in 2000, and all the family members and friends who predeceased her. On Sunday, April 11, a Mass of thanksgiving and remembrance will be said. It can be followed on www.mcnmedia.tv/camera/killorglin-st-james-church.

Her absence is a silent grief,

Her life a beautiful memory.
