LANIGAN Val (Clontarf and formerly of Templemichael, Grangemockler, Co. Tipperary) - loving and loved husband of the late Peggy. On the occasion of Val's First Anniversary, November 7, his daughter Corah, son-in-law Eddie and grandchildren Paul and Cathy would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us on our sad loss. Thank you to all who attended his funeral, sent Mass cards, flowers, messages of sympathy, and to those who travelled long distances to be there. We are very grateful to his many friends, especially Merle and also Tom, relatives and good neighbours who were a great support and comfort to him during his illness. We feel privileged to know the esteem he was held in by so many and the lives he touched. We would also like to thank Fr. Ian Buckmaster, Fr. Damien O'Reilly, Fr. James Fingleton, Fr. John Jacob, Fr. Michael Hastings, Fr. Dermot Mansfield, Fr. Gerard Deegan, Fr. Dan Nguyen, Fr. John Jones, Fr. Michael Carey and Fr. John Fitzpatrick for celebrating Val's life so beautifully at his Removal and at his Requiem Mass, as well as Margaret Brennan and Brian Hoey for their beautiful singing. We would like to thank his friends in Clontarf Bowling Club where he passed so many happy hours for their guard of honour which would have meant a great deal to him; also thanks to those who cared for him so well during his illness, especially Dr. Aidan Hampson for his kindness and attention. A special thanks for their loyalty and friendship, to the staff, both past and present of Lanigan Funeral Directors, the company he founded and to which he devoted so much of his life. While it is not possible to thank everyone individually we hope that this acknowledgement will show our sincere appreciation and gratitude. His Anniversary Mass will take place in St. Gabriel's Church, Clontarf on Sunday, November 15, at 6.00 pm.Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis
