SEGRAVE - (née MORAN), Vera, Ann, (Leixlip Park, Leixlip) and Elm Hall Nursing Home, died April 4 2020, remembered with love on her First Anniversary. Vera’s family wish to acknowledge with sincere thanks the Mass cards, letters, expressions of sympathy and condolences on RIP.ie on her passing. Due to the Government restrictions at that time, we were heartbroken not to have been able to celebrate her long life as she deserved and as we would have wished, and now again on her First Anniversary, we are unable to do so. We would like to thank her wonderful neighbours and friends, who were so good to Ann, and especially after her beloved husband Austin passed away, and in her declining health. They never failed to visit and support her during her years in Elm Hall. Ann was very committed to, and active in Leixlip Parish, and was awarded the Benemerenti medal by Pope Benedict in 2010. Thanks to Fr. Karl Fortune who celebrated her funeral Mass, and also to Cunninghams Funeral Directors. Thanks to Leixlip Parish Choir, of which she was a member for many years, who sang in Elm Hall many times. Thanks also to the staff of Elm Hall Nursing Home who looked after Vera so well during her years there. Thanks also to all who stood respectfully as her funeral passed by her house but were unable to attend the church. Her Anniversary Mass will take place online in Our Lady of Nativity Church, Leixlip at 10.00 am on Monday, April 5.
