MURPHY Judge Con, Laurel Walk, Bandon, Co. Cork - Died August 1, 2011. On this the First Anniversary of Con's sudden death his heartbroken wife Miriam, his loving mother Teresa, his sister Margaret and his brothers Dan and Phil together with the extended Murphy and Higgins families would like to take this opportunity to express their deep gratitude and thanks to all those who supported them, in their time of sorrow. They would like in particular to thank the many thousands who came in such unprecedented numbers and queued for many hours to offer their sympathy. They would like to thank those who sent Mass cards, flowers and messages of sympathy; they wish to express appreciation in particular, to those of you who wrote personal messages of support. The family would like to thank Con's colleagues in the Judiciary and Court's Service, especially his mentor Judge Karl Moran and Judges Patrick Moran, Sean O Donnabhain and James O' Donohue his friends and colleagues with whom he worked on the Cork Circuit and to all his fellow judges who travelled in such large numbers from all parts of the country to offer their condolences. They would like to thank members of the legal profession, especially James Long, his friend and partner for many years and all members of the staff of Murphy, Long and Taaffe; James O Riordan his Crier and all members of the Law Society and The West Cork Bar. It would be impossible to thank everybody individually; please therefore accept this Acknowledgment as a token of their sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions. Con's Anniversary Mass will be offered at 9.30am in St Patrick's Church Bandon on Wednesday, August 1.
