MONTAYNE, Maureen (Foxrock, Dublin 18, died December 28, 2011) - Mauree'ns husband Noel, sons Brian, Roger, John and Conor, sister Rosarii, brother John and their extended families would like to express their sincere gratitude to all those who showed such kindness, love and support throughout her illness and on her passing. Many thanks to all our relatives, wonderful friends, neighbours, work colleagues, and to all those who called to our home and attended the funeral Mass, acknowledging that many of you travelled long distances to be with us. Thanks also to those of you that sent Mass Cards and letters of sympathy and support. We would particularly like to thank those with whom she shared so much during a life lived to the full - among them the Foxrock Bridge Club and her beloved Southrock Ladies Club of which she was a founder member and former President. We are deeply indebted to the staff of Loughlinstown Hospital, Brian and Rita McMahon and the staff of Cairn Hill Nursing Home and the staff of Blackrock Clinic for their tender care and professionalism during Maureen's illness. Our special thanks to Fr Derek Smyth for his moving homily and to our great friends Fr Pat Pierce and Fr PJ Fagan who concelebrated the funeral Mass. The singing and music by the Decibelles Choir, cellist Ashling Drury-Byrne and organist Barry Courtney was beautiful. Maureen has left an immeasurable gap in the lives of all she touched and she will be remembered forever with love and appreciation for the time we enjoyed with her. The Months Mind Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 pm on Sunday 29 January, 2012, in Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock. All are welcome.
