BROOKS Trevor (Churchtown and Sandyford, Dublin - January 28, 2011, age 80 years) - On the first anniversary of our father's death, Graham, Roger and Adrian wish to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to everyone who sympathised with us following the passing of Dad. Trevor was husband to the late Marigold, brother to May, June and Terry, father-in-law and 'Grandpa Trevor' to Ben, Olly, Hannah, Kerry, Serena, Victoria, Laragh and Greg. He is greatly missed by us all. He and Marigold were very happily married for 33 years and following our Mum's passing in April 1993, he met and loved the companionship of his special friend Iris. For her genuine love and unwavering kindness - we are so grateful. We wish to thank the Oncology team in St. James's Hospital under the guidance of Dr. Ken O'Byrne for the care given to our Dad for nearly 6 years during his illness. Also to his many colleagues and friends in the financial world in Anglesea Street where he worked for nearly 60 years, until just 7 months before his passing. Trevor had many friends in his numerous charitable groups and organisations that were such a part of his life. He loved his early years in Wanderers RFC, Donnybrook Tennis club, St. Thomas's Badminton club, later the Centurions and in particular, we wish to thank all his friends in Carrickmines Golf Club - where his unique and much talked about golf swing remains unmatched. We are indebted to the parishioners in Taney Parish Church where Dad worshipped for over 50 years for your support throughout his life. To Canon Des Sinnamon, Rev. Niall and Rev. Stephen who gave such gentle pastoral care, many thanks for the powerful Thanksgiving Service, including the Parish Choir and the Taney Change Ringers, in celebration of Dad's long life. Finally we wish to thank the Society of Friends for providing his final resting place in the peace of Temple Hill. To all who knew Dad - we thank you and acknowledge your support to our families during the past year.
