EGAN - Michael (J.S.) On this the First Anniversary of Michael’s passing, Terry, Katrina, Michelle, Cormac , Lorraine &Kevin , would like to thank our families, relatives, friends, Clanns of Ireland friends, golfing and walking pals from Castle Golf Club, school friends from O’ Connells and especially the class of ‘61 who formed a guard of honour for Michael at the Church. We were deeply touched by the large number of letters of condolence, the Mass cards from home and abroad and the volume of text messages. Michael’s integrity and generous spirit touched so many lives and we greatly appreciate your kindness in sharing your stories with us.
Thanks also to our wonderful neighbors who stood outside our home and Church due to Covid restrictions and to our local Garda Síochána for their assistance in providing an escort. There are no words to adequately express our gratitude to the Irish Hospice Foundation who assisted us in caring for Michael at home during those final precious months. They were always so professional and attentive in such a caring way that we could not have managed without their constant support. Thanks also to Fr. Philip and Fr
Sean who concelebrated Michael’s funeral Mass accompanied by the wonderful singing of Simon Morgan. A very special thanks to Enda Egan who organised the Mass and interment of Michael’s ashes in his beloved Clonmacnoise. Michael will be forever inour hearts as a loving husband, Dad, Grandad and true friend to many.
