ELLIOTT Mary Burke (Carbury, County Kildare; formerly of Athlone) - On the occasion of Mary's first anniversary, her husband Mitch, her parents Jim and Bridget, sister Bernadette, brothers Michael, James, and Martin, uncle and godfather Paddy (who travelled from Germany), uncles, aunts and extended relatives, wish to thank sincerely all those who supported and sympathised with the family during our sad loss. A special thank you to Mr. Parnell Keeling, Prof. Arnold Hill and Mr. Oscar Breathnach, who did their best to save Mary; to the nurses and staff of St. Luke's Hospital, who cared well for Mary; to Dr. Lowry who cared for Mary in her parents' home in Cartontroy, Athlone; to Mary's nursing colleagues and the Directors of Nursing at the Bon Secours Hospital (Glasnevin for their daily attendance at Cartontroy and to her colleagues who provided a Guard of Honour at her removal to the Church and to the cemetery and particularly for holding a Memorial Mass for Mary in the hospital Church in Glasnevin. Our thanks to Fr. Fred McDonnell, for visiting Mary before her death; to Fr. Mark Bennett, who attended her at the time of her death; and to Fr. Patsy McDermot, who celebrated her funeral Mass. We extend our thanks also to A Slice of Life and The Bounty restaurants who catered for family and friends and to Flynn Undertakers for the dignified manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out. We trust that this notice will be accepted by all as a token of her family's appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for the intentions of all.
