MacENEANEY, Dr Patrick (March 28, 2014) - Margot, Tony, Bobby, and Rory, brothers, sisters and extended family wish to thank all who supported Paddy and us during the years of his illness. We are especially grateful to Anna Maher and the staff of Archersrath Nursing Home whose compassionate and loving care enabled Paddy to die with dignity and peace. We thank those who attended at the house, those who came to the funeral, and all the family, friends, neighbours who sympathised with us in any way. We particularly thank the staff of the Alzheimer Village Day Centre for their wonderful care and support. Paddy spent 32 years caring for the people of Castlecomer, he would have been amazed and hugely appreciative that so many came to say a final farewell. We thank the staff of Castlecomer District Hospital, Erin's Own Hurling Club, Deen Celtic Soccer Club and Castlecomer Golf Club for their Guards of Honour. We thank Monsignor Michael Ryan PP Castlecomer for all his help and for his kind words at the Mass celebrating Paddy's life and Fr. Jim Murphy PP St Canices. A special word of thanks to the Castlecomer Male Voice Choir whose singing greatly added to the occasion. We thank Kilkenny Rugby Club members for their Guard of Honour into Foulkestown. We thank those who generously donated to the Alzheimer Society in Paddy's name. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.
