DUGGAN - Raymond A. MEng, CEng, MIEI - As we approach Ray’s First Anniversary on February 13, his beloved wife Katie, children Brian, Eóin, Síle and Ciarán, daughters in law Alex and

Sarah, son in law Darren and all of Ray and Katie’s cherished grandchildren wish to thank everyone who has shown us so much kindness and support over the past year. Thank you to those who made Ray’s funeral reception and Mass so special, in particular Katie’s cousin Fr. Donal Neary SJ for his guidance and care. We are grateful for the wonderful teams who looked after Ray in St. James’ Hospital and Blackrock Clinic and we appreciate all the kind letters, Mass cards and donations to Blackrock Hospice. We remember

Ray’s love for his family, his inquisitive and adventurous spirit, his sense of fun and the joy he got from music, his work, sailing and rugby. Ray’s mantra of ‘onwards and upwards’ was an encouraging sentiment for many

in the days, weeks and months since his passing - especially given the year that 2020 became. ‘God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and wisdom to know the

difference’. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 13, at 6.00pm at kilmacudparish.ie (Church of St. Laurence O’Toole) if you would like to join us virtually to remember Ray, who we loved so dearly.

May our Lady of Lourdes

pray for us.

I am proud to have known Ray since the five years we spent as UCD engineering students together. A fine man. Always. May he rest in peace.
