McCORMACK, JOHN

McCORMACK - John late of Catherine Street, Waterford passed peacefully on the 6th June 2026 in the care of the Palliative Care Team in Dunmore Wing of UHW. Beloved husband of 68 years to his wife, Carmel and wonderful dad to his children Claire, Tom and Vanessa, he will be deeply missed. Fondly remembered by his sister Marion and extended family Hylda, Val, Michael, Paul, John and Harry and forever loved by his eight grandchildren, "Got you last!". Also remembered with great affection by his nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. John will be reposing at Tom Hennessy & Sons Funeral Home, Johnstown on Thursday 11th June from 7pm to 8pm. Removal on Friday morning to Christ Church Cathedral (COI) Waterford, arriving for 11:30am funeral service followed by burial in St. Killian's Cemetery, Ferrybank. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of John, if desired, to the RNLI.
