DOMICAN, Desmond (late of Murtagh Road, Dublin 7 – Ballet Dancer, Actor and founder of The Desmond Domican School of Dance, Parnell Square) July 16, 2020 peacefully in the wonderful care of St Mary’s Hospital, Phoenix Park. He will be sadly missed by his dear friends, colleagues and former students. May he Rest in Peace Removal this Monday morning to The Church of the Holy Family, Aughrim Street arriving for 11oc Funeral Mass which in accordance with Government guidelines on public gatherings can be attended by 50 people only and can also be seen on the parish website churchmedia.ie. Burial afterwards at Glasnevin Cemetery.

Only seeing this now. Really sorry to hear of his passing.. I was a pupil in his Ballet School. I remember he once had an article featured in the Evening Press. I remember he was strict in dance abd etiquette, always wanting you to achieve the best. I took part in his shows in the Dagg Hall theatre. Loved those days Thank you Mr Domican for all you did for dance. RIP

I was a pupil in Desmond Domican’s ballet school in 1967-68. He was a lovely gentle man. I remember his mum who used to live upstairs. Rest in Peace, Mr Domican.

I was a pupil of Desmond’s School of Dance from 1950 to 1969 app. Passed my Ballet exams and danced in his annual shows,​highlight of which was when we danced for Dame Ninette DeValois of The Royal Ballet, London. Rest in Peace, Desmond.
