COSTIGAN - Paul Joseph (Greystones, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Rathnapish, Co. Carlow).

It is with immense sadness that we announce the sudden death of Paul on July 5, 2023, following an accident in Hong Kong.

Adored husband and soulmate of Roisin, (née Bolger) and much-loved father of Leah and Abby. Predeceased by his brother Joe, he will be missed every day by his wife and children, his heartbroken parents Kitty and Joe, sister Carolyn, brothers Neil and David, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces and by a wide circle of friends and colleagues at home and abroad.

Funeral Mass on Thursday (July 20), at 10am in The Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow (Eircode R93 E681) followed by burial in St Mary's Cemetery, Carlow.

COSTIGAN - Paul Joseph, Greystones / Carlow. Remembering our Paul on his First Anniversary, Roisin, Leah, Abby and his parents Kitty and Joe, Neil, Carolyn, David and all our extended families would like to thank all those who sympathised with us on our terrible loss. The family acknowledge with humility and deep gratitude the massive show of love and support then and throughout the past year. It has meant a great deal to us to know how loved and highly regarded Paul was by family, a worldwide circle of friends and many colleagues.

Sincere love and thanks to our friends in Hong Kong who were with us in our most heartbreaking moments, words are not enough. Thanks to all who travelled to the Funeral, those who came from near and far and especially from Portugal, US and UK. Special gratitude to Fr. Paul O’Boyle for celebrating Mass and to Carpenters Bros.

We miss Cos beyond words and think of him daily, but especially today on his 60 th birthday.

Paul was my friend, mentor and inspiration. I cherished the times we spent together - personally and professionally. I miss him every day and my heart goes out to his family and friends who knew the same man I did. Smart, kind, thoughtful, funny, irreverent and just the right amount of anti-authority to inspire and make life worth living. I miss that man with all my heart. God bless and see you on the other side Paul.
