McDONNELL, Noel (Dundrum and formerly of Churchtown) – July 12, 2023 (peacefully) after a long illness. He fought a valiant battle with dignity, bravery and humour to the very end. His life was filled with love, happiness and horses. In his final days he was surrounded by his loving family in the care of the wonderful staff of St. Vincent’s Private Hospital. He will be profoundly missed by his beloved wife Gerry, children Charlotte, Alexandra, Jennifer, Ronan and Andrew, daughter-in law Sarah, sons-in-law Dan and Matic, grandchildren Andrew, Ely, Eamon, Kate and Ruben, sister Carole and her family Eugene, Aonghus and Eoghan. Remembered with much love by Gerry and Noel’s extended family and friends. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and Nollie to his wonderful grandchildren. Funeral Mass this (Saturday) morning at 10.00am in the Church of the Good Shepherd, Churchtown followed by burial at to Kilternan Cemetery Park. Family flowers only please

McDONNELL - Noel (Second Anniversary, July 12).Â Two years since you left us Noel and not a day goes by without thoughts of you. Losing you still hurts so deeply, the grief we feel will always be with us but memories of the wonderful life we had together helps to shoulder the burden. I miss our chats, our laughter and most of all your love but when I get down I go back over those words you always quoted:

âIt's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at allâ.
