FOSTER Fr John, SDB, March 10, 2017 (Salesian House, St. Teresa's Road, Crumlin, Dublin 12 and formerly of Ballykelly, Monasterevin, Co. Kildare and Hong Kong) (peacefully) at Naas General Hospital. Sadly missed by his loving brothers Peter, P.J. and Bernie, sisters Tess, Phil, Vera and Rosaleen, sisters-in-law Tess and Mary, brothers-in-law Sammy and McKillan, nieces, nephews, his Salesian Confreres, his extended family, the parishioners of St. Agnes's Parish, Crumlin and his wide circle of friends. Reposing at the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, Crumlin Village today (Saturday) and tomorrow (Sunday) from 10 o'c until 5 o'clock Funeral on Monday after 11 o'c Mass in St. Agnes's Church, Crumlin Village and afterwards to St. Evin's, New Cemetery, Monasterevin, Co. Kildare."Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal".

Fr Foster was my history teacher at HK Tang King Po College back in 1970-72. He did tremendous efforts in bringing us up to his required standards in academic excellence and he is always in my mind. George Shaw shawgeo@​netvigator.​com.

Samuel Lam Hui. I made a mistake earlier in my entry. I was Fr. Foster student in St Louis School in 1960-61, not as previously stated. I treasure all the help and guidance from Fr. Foster all these years. RIP Fr. Foster.

Samuel Lam Hui. I just came upon this notice. I was a student of Fr. Foster in St. Louis School in Hong Kong back in 1969-61. I am indebted to Fr. Foster for his help and counselling all these years in school and afterwards. RIP.
