HAYES, Declan (Blackrock, Co. Dublin and formerly Clonakilty Co. Cork) - November 21, 2018, surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of St Vincent’s Private Hospital. Following a courageous journey, he will be dearly missed by his devoted wife Catherine (nee Lappin, Sligo), children Dermot, Ciara, Ailbhe, Niall, their spouses Jemma, James, Donagh and Amanda, sister Maria, brother Martin, sisters-in-law Treasa, Marian, Una, Bernadette, his extended family and many friends. Predeceased by his brother Sean and sisters-in-law Mary and Josephine. Loving granddad to Daniel, Finn, Matilda, Anna, Odhrán, Fionn, Emily-Rose and Éabha. Reposing at his home (today) Friday from 4 o'c to 6 o'c. Funeral Mass (tomorrow), Saturday to arrive to the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock at 9.50 o'c for 10 o’c requiem mass followed by a burial in Kilternan Cemetery Park. “Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom."
