MARKES (Elizabeth) - January 31, 2005, in Canterbury, after a short stay in hospital, beloved wife of the late John and much loved mother of Veronica, Rosie, Christopher, Eddie, Georgie and Charlie; she will be sadly missed by her large family, including nineteen grandchildren and her many friends. Funeral Service will be held at St Thomas', Canterbury on Friday, February 11 at 12 noon. Family flowers only, donations to Cancer Research c/o Lyons & Son Funeral Directors, Canterbury. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Ballinafad, Co. Galway the following week.
