HICKEY Gerard (Gerry) (Rathmines and formerly Enniskerry), (First anniversary, April 18, 2019) As we reflect on the year since our dear lovely Dad died, David, Carolyn, Howard, Andrew and Joyce wish to acknowledge the wave of goodness that enveloped us in the weeks leading up to and following his death. Thank you to the staff of the Fitzgerald Unit at the Blackrock Clinic; to Orwell Healthcare; and to the incredible community palliative care nurses from Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross, who looked after Dad during his final illness. We are deeply grateful to our colleagues, relatives and friends for their flexibility and generosity, and to friends who visited Dad and who kept him in their prayers. Thank you to his neighbours on Fortfield Terrace whose hearty welcome extended into a beautiful wake, and to his former neighbours from Enniskerry for their infinite kindness. Thank you to Fr. Joe Mullan (Rathgar parish) who celebrated Dad's funeral Mass so personably, with Fr. Bernard Kennedy, in Enniskerry, and to Thomas Murphy and Sons Funeral Directors, Bray, for their special care. And we thank Dad's former colleagues at the Bank of Ireland; his friends in the Greystones Orchestra and the Irish Kennel Club; and so many people, near and far, who paid him such warm tributes, sent cards and messages and sympathised with us in our enormous loss. May Gerry and Frances
Rest in Peace.
