September 3, 2021, Seamus, his sister Kathleen O’Donnell (U.S.A.), extended Colreavy and McGowan Families, his much loved nieces and nephews, wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us on our sad loss. We are extremely grateful to our kind neighbours, friends, cousins and extended families for their heartfelt mass cards, certificates of enrolment, cards, letters, messages of condolence and their continuous support and kindness shown to us during this past difficult year. Thank you to Father Sean Burke who celebrated Hugh’s Funeral Mass so movingly and to the Sacristan Harry McCrann. Our appreciation also to Emer McGowan and Soloist Corrinne McCormack for their beautiful liturgical music and singing. We were greatly honoured to see so many of our kind and thoughtful relatives, neighbours and friends who stood as Hugh’s funeral cortege moved from his home to the Church and also en route to the Crematorium in Cavan. To those who joined us online for the Funeral Mass, we thank you. We acknowledge the support and medical care shown to Hugh over many years from the Doctors and Staff at Mohill Primary Care Medical Centre, present and past. Sincere thanks to the Management, Directors and Staff, present and past, at C.& D. Medical Hall, Mohill. The care and compassion that Hugh received on his medical journey in the Cardiac Unit at The Mater Private Hospital, Dublin and especially that from Professor Declan Sugrue will never be forgotten. Thanks also to Doctor Donal Murray and Cardiac Team of University Hospital Sligo and Ambulance Crews for their care. A special thank you to the Staff in I.C.U., Galway University College Hospital for their care and respect shown to Hugh in his final days and for taking time to keep Jacinta informed daily during those difficult Covid times.
