HUGHES - Lewis Patrick (Podge) - The family of the late Lewis Patrick Hughes (Podge) would like to thank everyone who sympathised with us on our very sad loss. Every call, letter and card, and the many messages and tributes on rip.ie were greatly appreciated. Thank you to all his wonderful neighbours, colleagues and friends for their support and comfort. Thank you to those who sent donations in his memory to his chosen charities. Our thanks also to his GP, Dr Aidan Hampsen, for his exceptional care over the past few years, and to the staff in Beaumont Hospital for their care in his final days. Sincere thanks to the pupils of Mount Temple School who formed a guard of honour at his funeral. Thank you to the clergy and others who contributed to the beautiful service, giving the clear message that “those whose lives have touched so many will never be forgotten”. We greatly appreciated the professional manner and sensitivity shown by Kirwans Funeral Directors. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.
