DIGNAM - Nikki (née Lyons), (Ashford and Castletroy)
On the First Anniversary of her death, husband Alan, daughter Anna, sons Kian and Nial and the extended Dignam and Lyons families want to thank most sincerely everyone who offered sympathy and support on the loss of our beloved Nikki. The support and sympathy, from our friends near and far, will never be forgotten by us. It was a source of great pride to have Nikki’s Ireland hockey teammates as a guard of honour, her love of hockey was represented widely by teammates, mentors and opponents from throughout her remarkable career. Nikki was a cherished educator; we were proud to see so many of her colleagues and former pupils from Terisian’s school, showing their respect for her. Our thanks to the many friends, nurses and doctors who visited Nikki at our home, and gave her great comfort through their holistic and medical care. Thanks also to the staff of Saint Vincent’s Hospital and Dr Daniel McCarthy. To Fr. Eamon of Ashford Parish for visiting our home, offering prayers for Nikki and giving comfort to our families, we also thank him for the funeral Mass celebrating Nikki’s life. Thanks to Una Pedresci for her wonderful singing and musical accompaniment. Our thanks to Nial McCrea and his staff for their kindness and professionalism in dealing with our loss. Thanks to our local community, friends, sporting, school and work colleagues for contacting us, attending Nikki’s funeral and supporting us throughout this past year, we are truly grateful.
