O'CONNOR - Brian, (Welland Lodge, Monkstown Road, Monkstown, County Dublin) As we lovingly remember Dad today on his First Anniversary, all his children, Brendan, Noelle, Yvonne, Clodagh, Miriam, Ronan, Susan and Denis, along with his sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren, wish to express our deepest gratitude to all those who sympathised with us and supported us since Dad’s passing. Thank you to all those who attended the funeral, called to the house, sent Mass cards, messages of sympathy, or made phone calls of support to us. It was your kindness and compassion that brought such comfort to each of us during these difficult days. We also wish to sincerely thank Father Cormac O’Brolchain and Father Kevin Rowan for their many visits to Dad in his final weeks and to Father Cormac O’Brolchain and Rev Eric Cooney for concelebrating his beautiful funeral Mass. To his carers, most especially Mae and Alma and the palliative home care team at Blackrock Hospice, we thank you for the wonderful care and kindness shown to Dad in his final months. Dad, affectionately known as Papa, is deeply missed, and will be remembered especially today by his loving family. We take comfort in the knowledge that Dad is now in his eternal home, reunited with his beloved wife Sheila and our much cherished Mum. A First Anniversary Mass will be offered for Dad today September 30, at 10am in Saint Patrick’s Church Monkstown. He will also be remembered at 11.30am Mass on Sunday October 2nd. Rest in heavenly peace.
