LEWIS, (née Hannon) - Joan Helen (Ballsbridge, Dublin 4) November 19, 2022, in the care of the exceptional staff of St. Vincent’s University Hospital, in the 96th year of a remarkable life, beloved wife of the late Tom, much loved and devoted mother of Derek, Don and Brian. She will be sadly missed by her sons, daughters-in-law Bernie, Patricia and Janet, her adored grandchildren David, Sarah, Amy, Matthew and Jonathan, nephews, nieces, extended family and a very wide circle of friends. Funeral Service on Monday (November 28th) at 10.30am in St. Matthew's Church, Irishtown and afterwards to Mount Jerome Crematorium. Messages to the family can be left in the Condolences section on www.irishtimes.com . Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to the St. Matthew's Church Restoration Fund at: stmattschurch.ie She lived life to the full - now at rest.

I only met your mum the one time Don, but she struck me as having a strong, adventurous spirit and, like Clint Eastwood who is also in his 90s, she 'did not let the old woman in.' May she rest in peace; we Perdues are thinking of you.

Joan was so full of vitality and fun. I have great memories of her over the years, her friendship to my mum and her support to me her step-niece. All those family get togethers won’t be the same without her. Love to all from Australia.
