TOBIN, Sean, (Upper Newcastle, Galway, formerly of NUI Galway and originally Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary) July 11, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Lois. Peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of St Jarlath’s Ward, Bon Secours Hospital, Galway. Sadly missed by his loving children Siobhan, Brendan, Adrian, Ciaran and Michael, son-in-law Simon, daughters-in-law Kate and Tara, grandchildren Niamh, Rhys, Dylan, Luna, Liam, Joseph, Cara, Daniel, Sean, Oran and Fionn, and by his brothers Liam and Desmond, close family members Ann, Ross, Shane, Eva and Sam Tobin, extended family, former colleagues and friends. Sean was professor of mathematics in NUI Galway for over 35 years. Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway this Friday, 14 July from 5.00pm. to 7.00pm. Private Cremation to take place on Saturday. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Sean at Galway Cathedral on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 12.00 noon. Family flowers only please.
