FOGARTY, Kenneth (Senior Counsel) (Clontarf, Dublin 3) – (peacefully) in Beaumont Hospital on December 20th 2024, after a brief illness. Son of the late Kara and Paddy, brother of his late sister Louise. Adored husband of Tess and loving father of Keith and Lisa. Sadly missed by his daughter-in-law Maeve, son-in-law Chris and his grandchildren Ava, Isabelle, Alex, Jamie and Daniel. He will be deeply missed by his siblings, Bernice, Eucharia, Patrick, Aileen and Ciarán, and their partners, extended family, in-laws, friends and his brothers and sisters at The Bar of Ireland. Rest in Peace. A gathering of Ken’s family and friends will take place at The Fanagan-Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand tomorrow Friday (27th December) from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. His Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday (28th December) at 10.00am in the Church of St. John The Baptist, Clontarf Road, after which he will be laid to rest with his beloved parents in Fingal Cemetery, Balgriffin. Donations, in lieu of flowers, to the Benevolent Society of The Bar of Ireland. House private, by request. 'I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race. I have kept the faith.'
FOGARTY - Kenneth (Clontarf) On this, the First Anniversary of Kens passing, Tess, Keith, Lisa, and the extended family wish to sincerely thank everyone who supported them during the past year. We are grateful for the love and compassion expressed through cards, letters, mass bouquets, calls and condolences on rip.ie. Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate Kens life and to Fr John Callanan for officiating a beautiful funeral mass, and Gerry Reynolds who delivered a heartfelt eulogy. We are grateful to the staff of Beaumont Hospital for caring for Ken during his brief illness, to our dear friend Dr Aidan Fox and to Fanagans Kirwans funeral directors for their guidance during his final journey.
We thank Kens friends and colleagues in The Law Library and The Law Society and his former colleagues at RTÉ for their continued kindness and support, and to everyone who has travelled with us along the path of grief this year. Ken was very dearly loved, is missed every single day and will never be forgotten.
