BERGIN, Emmet (Blackrock, Co. Dublin, formerly of Co. Carlow, Actor, late of The Abbey Theatre, I.T.C. and RTE) - March 15th 2024. Suddenly, but peacefully at home. Dearly beloved husband and best friend of Sarah and loving Dad to Gavan and Tara. He will be very sadly missed by his wife, son, daughter, son-in-law Alan, his cherished grandson Jack, sister Siobhán, brothers Pat, Pearse and Allen, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends. Emmet will be reposing on Monday evening (25th March) from 5pm to 7pm in Carnegies Funeral Home, Monkstown (A94XK28). A Service to celebrate Emmet’s life will be held on Tuesday (26th March) at 3.15pm in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross (D6WHY98). No flowers, please. Donations, in lieu of flowers, to the RNLI.

On this first anniversary, Sarah, Gavan and Tara and all the family, would like to thank everyone who was so kind to bid Emmet 'safe journey' with us, to give him such a fine ovation and to say such wonderful things about him. Your words and thoughts have brought much comfort and courage during this difficult time and will continue to do so. Emmet, Dad, we miss you dearly and we think of you every day.Â
