DONLON Liam (Brittas Bay, Co. Wicklow) May 13, 2011 - On the eve of the First Anniversary of Liam's death, his new granddaughter Emily, his children Colm, Emma, Barry and Maria, their mother Margaret, and his partner Siobhan wish to express our sincere gratitude to all those who sympathised with us on our loss. Our thanks to all who attended the removal, funeral and burial and especially those who travelled long distances. While we are deeply saddened by Liam's passing the kind words and wonderful memories shared with us in so many conversations, letters and cards have helped us celebrate his life. We would like particularly to thank the staff at the Beacon Hospital and his consultant Dr. J. Westrup; their kindness will be long remembered. Thank you to Fr. Philip Bradley and his concelebrants; the Milltown Parish Chamber Choir, Liam's goddaughter Monica, sister Maeve and brother Uinseann for the beautiful music; and all who helped make Liam's funeral service so memorable. We would also like to express our sincere thanks to Fr. Moore and the Parish of Star of the Sea, Brittas Bay, and Flannery's Funeral Directors, Co. Wicklow. We hope this Acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our appreciation for all the kindness and support that has been shown to us. Liam's First Anniversary Mass will take place this evening, Saturday May 12, at 6.00pm at the Church of Saints Columbanus & Gall, Milltown, at which we will pray for your intentions.

Message from Angela Cavendish

Dear all, I only found out about Liam's death a year to the day. I am so sorry, he was a wonderful person and I learnt so much from him, aside from banking he taught me dignity and honesty, which stands to me to this day, in difficult times. My deepest sympathies.
