SALTER, Canon George Alfred (Cork and Dublin) – Dec. 22, 2024, peacefully, in his 100th year at Beechfield Manor Nursing Home, Shankill. Beloved husband of the late Vera, adored father of Bridget (Aylmer), Andrew and Kate (Desigar), much loved grandfather of William, Christopher, James and Amber and great-grandfather of Ellie, George and Arianna, and dear uncle of Donald Trotter. He will be sadly missed by his daughter-in-law Sophie, William’s wife Carolyn, Christopher’s wife Korina and by his extended family and his many many friends. Funeral Service tomorrow (Friday) at 12.00noon in Rathmichael Parish Church, Shankill, followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please. There will be a retiring collection in aid of the Remembrance Tree, Cork Rotary Club, c/o Bella Vista, Ballyhooley Road, Cork, T23 X5X4. “In Heavenly love abiding”
