PHELAN, (Castleknock, Dublin and formerly of Fairview, Dublin) -March 19, 2024 (peacefully) surrounded by his family and in the loving care of the staff at Beaumont Hospital. Gerry (Thomas Gerard), much loved and loving husband of June (Nee Smalle) and devoted and cherished father of Thomas and Conall and dearly loved brother of Mary, Fiona, James, Frank and the recently deceased John. Sadly missed by his loving family, Orla and Nicola, brothers-in-law Declan, John and David, sisters-in-law Valerie, Linda and Alison nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. R.I.P. Reposing at his home tomorrow (Friday) evening from 5pm to 8pm (prayers at 7.30pm).Removal to St. Mochta’s Church, Porterstown (D15V044) on Saturday morning (23rd March), arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am, followed by burial in Esker Lawn Cemetery, Lucan. Family flowers only, please. Donations if desired to Oncology Department, Beaumont Hospital.

On Gerry's First Anniversary, June, Thomas, Conall and the Phelan family wish to express heartfelt gratitude to all who supported us during this difficult time. Thank you to Gerry's friends and colleagues in the IWA, eircom and Trade Unions for their kind words and shared memories. We deeply appreciate everyone who visited, made phone calls, sent messages, flowers and cards. Thank you to all who attended or watched the funeral online, especially to all who travelled long distances. Thank you to our wonderful friends and neighbours, your presence and ongoing support mean so much. Special thanks to Msgr. Liam Bergin for his beautiful celebration of Gerry's life, and to the many Celebrants and St. Mochta's Parish Team. Thank you to Cunningham's Funeral Directors for their care and professionalism. We wish to thank those who cared for Gerry; Dr. Maguire and all in Parks Medical Centre, his Oncology team and all staff in Beaumont Hospital. Our warmest thanks to the Phelan and Smalle extended families for their support during this difficult year. The Holy Sacrament of Mass has been offered up for your intentions.
Gerry is very deeply missed
and remembered with much love.
