BARR, Edward W (Eddie) (Foxrock) August 2, 2015, (peacefully), in the loving care of the staff of Beechfield Manor Nursing Home, Shankill. Beloved husband of Thérèse (Terry) and father of Mark, Paul and Suzanne (Griffin). Very sadly missed by his loving family, daughters-in-law Fiona and Mairéad, son-in-law Finbarr, grandchildren Andrew, Nicola, Louise, Katie, Laura, Dylan, Sarah, Sam, Robbie, Ali and Chloë, brother Robert (Bobby), sister-in-law Mary, relatives and friends. Pre-deceased by his sister Carmel. Rest in Peace. Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Dundrum this (Wednesday) afternoon from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm. Removal tomorrow (Thursday) morning to the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock arriving for Funeral Mass at 10 am and afterwards to Mount Jerome Crematorium Harold's Cross. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to RNLI.
BARR, Edward W., (Eddie), late of Foxrock, Dublin 18. On the First Anniversary of Eddie's passing (2 August, 2015) his wife Therese (Terry), sons Mark and Paul and daughter Suzanne wish to extend a heartfelt thanks to the very many relations, friends and neighbours who travelled from near and far to attend Eddie's funeral or to drop by to offer their condolences. Many thanks also to those who wrote to us and sent Mass cards. Special thanks to Fr. Michael Sheil SJ from Clongowes Wood College who celebrated the Funeral Mass and Fr. Willie Bradley CSSP, Fr. Tony Little CSSP from St Michaels College and Fr. Paul O'Connor OSA who concelebrated. Many thanks also to the priests and parish secretary of Foxrock Parish (the Church of our Lady of Perpetual Succour) for all their assistance and support and to Fanagans for their kindness and professionalism. We would also like to single out for special mention and thanks the staff of Beechfield Manor Nursing Home in Shankill who cared for Eddie so well in his final years. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.
