FLANAGAN, Donal, (Tinahely, Co. Wicklow) November 21, 2022. Peacefully at his home in Tinahely, aged 93 yrs. Beloved husband of Eileen. Formerly Professor of Dogmatic Theology, Pontifical University, Maynooth, journalist and sub-editor Irish Press, producer RTE Radio 1 and later Assistant Controller. Survived by his wife Eileen, nieces Rachel, Kiwana, Aisling and Natalie, nephews Desmond and Graham, his many cousins and extended family. Sadly missed by all his former colleagues, friends and the wider community in Tinahely in which he played an active role for many years. Supported with great love and kindness by his carer Olive, his cousin Anne McAteer, District Nurses Jackie and Anne, his GP Dr. Perry and the Wicklow Palliative Care Team, and the fellow members and volunteers with the local Conference of the Society of St Vincent de Paul. Reposing at his home today (Friday) from 2.00pm to 7.00pm. Removal from his home tomorrow (Saturday) to St Kevin's Church, Killaveney arriving for Funeral Mass at 12.00 noon, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral Mass will be streamed on www.kilaveneyparish.ie/. May he Rest in Peace
