MULLEN, Michael, (Oldcastle, Co. Meath) - September 20, 2013, (peacefully), at home following a short illness courageously borne in the presence of his loving family. Michael dearly beloved husband of Frances and wonderful Dad to Siobhan, Patrick, Declan, Bairbre, Vincent and Niall, sister Noeleen (Dunne) and brother to Paddy and the sadly missed Tommy. Devoted grandfather to Fiachra, Sorcha, Aoife, Caoimhe, Niamh, Leah, Max, Ruby, Jude, Conor, Aodan, Lucy and Sonny. Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons and daughters, daughters-in-law Orla, Lesley, Aideen, Siobhan and Petrina, son-in-law Mark and relatives. Also will be sadly missed by a wide circle of friends at home and abroad, members of the Antique Diaspora and dear friends in the St Vincent de Paul and other community organisations. Reposing at his home in Church Street, Oldcastle from 3pm to 8pm today (Saturday) with funeral after 11.30 am Mass in St Brigid's Church, Oldcastle tomorrow (Sunday). Burial afterwards to local cemetery. Donations if desired to Meath Hospice Homecare.May he rest in peace.
MULLEN Michael (Oldcastle, Co. Meath) (First Anniversary) - On the day of the First Anniversary of Michael's passing, his wife Frances and children Siobhan, Patrick, Declan, Bairbre, Vincent and Niall, sister Noeline, brother Paddy, sister-in-law Frances and brother-in-law Joseph and all our extended family wish to express our sincerest thanks and appreciation to all who supported us at the time of our sad loss. To the wider community of Oldcastle and those who travelled from afar. To all who called to the house, attended Requiem Mass in St. Brigid's Church and the funeral afterwards. Everyone who sent Mass cards and messages of condolences and to our amazing friends, neighbours and Michael's friends in the St. Vincent de Paul who helped and sustained us at that sad time. The staff in St. Vincent's Hospital, Elm Park. Dr. Anne Marie Gilsenan, Donna McQuaid and team, nurses Imelda and Mary and Celine. The Irish Hospice Association and a special mention to the wonderful daffodil nurses and the palliative care team. To Bishop Michael Smith, parish priest Fr. Ray Kelly, Msgr. John Hanly and Fr. John Brogan, the singers, musicians and all who contributed so beautifully to his Requiem Mass. While it is not possible to thank everyone individually, we truly hope that this acknowledgement will show you our genuine appreciation and gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions. Michael's Anniversary Mass will be celebrated in St. Brigid's Church Oldcastle tomorrow Sunday 21st September at 11.30am.Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
