O'DONOGHUE, (née Hynes) Marcia (Merville, Taylor’s Hill and formerly of Montpelier Terrace, Sea Road, Galway) - (Unexpectedly) in the wonderful care of the staff at University College Hospital Galway, on Saturday, 18 November, 2023, with her family by her side. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Donagh for almost sixty years, adored mother, sister, granny, great-granny and mother-in-law and a much-loved friend. Pre-deceased by her parents Ned and Mary Hynes. Deeply mourned by her daughters and sons, Gillian, Denise, Peter, Andrew and John, sister Helen, sons-in-law Derek and Ian, daughters-in-law Emma and Fiona, grandchildren Daniel, Jake, Emily and Annabelle, and great-grand-son Bowe. Sadly missed also by her sister-in-law Maura, brothers-in-law Pat Sheridan and David Neligan, the extended O’Donoghue and Hynes family and friends. Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91V1K8), Galway on tomorrow (Wednesday), 22 November from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Marcia on Thursday, 23 November on arrival at the Jesuit Church, Sea Road at 11 a.m. Following Mass, she will be laid to rest in Rahoon Cemetery. Reunited with her loved ones, together again, may they rest in eternal peace Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam dílis.
