McAVINCHEY - Elizabeth, died peacefully on August 6, 2024, in the tender care of the Milford Hospice, surrounded by her family. On the first anniversary of her death, her children Andrew, Claire, Paul, Shane and Gavin, their partners, her beloved grandchildren, brother Peter and sisters Irene and Jean together with the extended McAvinchey and Cahill families would like to express our sincere gratitude for the support we received at that time and over the past year, as we know Elizabeth would have wished.

Sincere thanks and appreciation are due to Milford Hospice as well as Dr. Greg Korpanty and his team at University Hospital Limerick who took care of Elizabeth with such tenderness, dignity and, at times, humour during her illness. She derived great strength from it, as did we.

Thank you for the cards, letters, phone calls, messages and the many memories you shared with us and for travelling from near and far to be with us during that difficult time. It was a great comfort to us.

Fr. Pat Greed, the parish priest of Cloughjordan, was, once again, with us throughout that sad time. The Kilruane Choir, Ciara Callanan-Ryan and our own Jennifer Murphy played and sang beautifully.

The Guard of Honour by her friends from Nenagh Golf Club was truly touching and showed just how much she was loved by everyone.

Elizabeth rests in peace now with her beloved David.
