LONG, Gordon (Thomas) (Leixlip, Co. Kildare and formerly of Mountmellick, Co. Laois) - May 24th, 2024 (peacefully) in the loving care of St Brigid's Hospice, Kildare. Much loved husband of Mabel (née Craig) and cherished father of Andrea, Melanie, Rachel and the late Janet. An adored grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be forever missed by his loving wife, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law Charles, Colin, John and Emerson, brothers Ivan and Philip, (predeceased by his brothers George and Percy, and his sister Eva), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbours and a large circle of friends. Special thanks to his wonderful carers and all the staff at St. Brigid's Hospice. Gordon's Funeral Service will take in St. Andrew's Church of Ireland, Lucan tomorrow (Tuesday May 28th) at 11am, followed by cremation in Newland's Cross Crematorium.
